    Empires 2.4 has been released.

    This release will be downloaded automatically through steam.

    Question:

    + Class loadouts are now saved for duration of map

    Can someone clarify this for me (this is my interpretation), ukgamer made a point that he thought they persisted through map changes (weapon selection should but obviously skills cant). I thought that thais meant that when changing class you wouldnt have to change skills

    Are loadouts only saved for the duration of a map or are they saved through map changes? It would make more sense for them to be saved across maps. Skills would obviously be disabled until you unlocked them.

    NF armory explosion was a short side project by brutos and me. Never went anywhere. I didn't even make the explosion.

    Where can I find the git log? This is a combination of pivotal, svn log and raegquit log.

    Also. What maps have been updated?

    Updated with list of new official maps from tricksters post in other forum.

    What maps have been updated that arent listed?
    Is homeland going to be included in the official mapcycle or is that not decided yet?

    I thought homeland was still missing things... notably the top of city hall.

    That's a .res problem. If you're missing that then VIPER needs to update the .res with the stuff from the previous version.

    Homeland needs some work, as does Forest. I'm hoping that they can get fixed but I'm starting to panic a little over the amount to do before release. I'm honestly not in a position to get things done from here until I get back to the UK in December, so the more I look at it, the more I really don't see how it's going to be possible to get the release done in time. I've hugely overtasked the very few mappers we have, who are literally working their ass off full time just to try and get things done. Not to mention that I still can't get anyone to touch the Tutorial map, which desperately needs working on. And this is before we get to the commander bug, which crashes in Valve code, and they aren't replying to our Emails.

    If I was in the UK I maybe wouldn't be so worried about other stuff besides maps, because I could get it sorted, but I just can't get anything done from here and it's really causing problems. If we don't release at Christmas then any release we do isn't going to be hitting our max potential for player intake, which is a fairly depressing thought.

    Sorry, I have not been watching current empires events.
    When is this going to be released?

    Is this going to fix mortars flying through infantry?
    Would be very good.

    Nice, i remember having assists without changed skill boundaries.
    Got 4 skills in no time, boring....nice to see both things

    This list looks very nice :rolleyes: , cant wait to have these changes in effect :)
