Squad Chat

Its simple. Give you the option to talk to your squad only instead of the entire team. Also give the squadleader the option to JUST talk to the commander. I think it would be pretty damn useful, we could actually have squadleaders that command squads and get orders passed down from the commander. Thoughts?

(Anyone who's played project reality has seen this system in place)

 

i catch your drift.. a chain of command.

the commander can only talk to squad leader and give squad leader orders. and the grunts can only talk to squad leader. this would make squad leader priority targets. i really like it. if the leader gets taken out, then the squad is without orders for the respawn duration of the squad leader for 1-9 seconds or wait for revive. 1-9 seconds is no big deal actually, in terms of giving out orders, but it might hinder important operations. although theres problems of giving targets. players are so used to targets given by the commander.

but honestly, increasing team/squad play is hopeful in empires. its pretty hard to get people to fight in a cohesive unit.

 

The command chain no, the squad chat yes, kind of like insurgency.

 

If this could be done easily, it would have already been done a long time ago.
