Specific entity to see whether a player of a certain team is in an area.

    Does that exist? I haven't been able to find it yet.

    EDIT: It doesn't seem to exist; does anyone know how to make it?

    Also, it would be useful if engineers buildables could be assigned to function as radars/cameras and be set to allow a team that controlls it to research.(I saw it suggested before).

    you can block by class. I believe it also works with teams.

    check in brush entities.

    Nope, it's not in the fgd.

    Is there a way that I could add it?

    EDIT: I found a way to add it, what should the team names be? BE and NF or Brenodi Empire and Northern Faction?
    EDIT2: I can't see whether this lets me check what team is actualy in the area. I can only see that it lets me block a team from passing trough it.

    Use a trigger_multiple with the filter set to allow the team you're trying to detect, the outputs will only trigger if players from that team pass through it.

    what does this need to do that a cap zone doesn't do btw?

    It's for opening a gate whenever a player of a certain team is near it. So if flag A is captured by BE the gate only opens when a BE players is near it; visa versa for NF.
