The txt file in resource/maps folder...

Make sure that the format is in ANSI.

There are 4 format options when saving with notepad, and mine had changed due to using a bad file to copy over and remake one, and I hadn't noticed.

So just wanted to post it out here that if you have a purple or checkerbox minimap, check the txt file encoding.

I mostly just copy one that exists and saves it with CRTL + S..

I did too, but somewhere along the line, I had a bad one I didn't properly test out that got saved under a different type of encoding and thus had errors in game, where the file was recognized, but the characters were apparently not recognized, because it simply gave the missing texture texture :P
