Like the topic says... It takes no more 5 minutes to get to the last flag even for an incompetent BE team. All defendable chokepoints are gone. Shortly put, this map is impossible for NF to win at its current state. The new tunnels make it a cakewalk for the BE to win, even without vehicles. NF simply can't stop them anymore. :mad: I thought the revision was supposed to stop spawn artying and make the gameplay a bit more versatile, but now instead of getting an artied just after spawning you get billion of BE riflemen from all directions, before you've even spawned properly. :mad: My last game lasted about 10 minutes. The last five we were desperately trying to defend the last flag and even though we mined the new tunnel they kept coming throught there... I felt like the recieving end of a massive zerg rush. I'm refraining from playing NF on this map until the next revision. It would take a team of complete morons on BE and über veterans on NF to NF win in this map. Our ticket count in the end was approximately 440 vs 990 and you'd laugh if you'd seen the scoreboard(I was too pissed to remember to a screenshot). The map used to be pretty balanced, if no one went into spawn artyraping frenzy, now it's just too biased towards the attacker. :mad: I'd like to hear other peoples experiences. See if there are more than 10 players who think this way.
Neat, then alot of us are NF über veterans, because they never make it to the first flag even whenever I play... I'm sorry dude, either, you, and/or your team just blew balls.
Last game I played the BE got to the first flag about half way through the game, and we stalled them at the second for the rest. NF lost because we ran out of tickets, but then again, noone on our team was an engineer. :p We didn't have much coordination or teamwork either, so that's not why. Of course, it was the first 1.06 game on escort, so it could've been that people were too awed with the new map.
Perhaps we should be able to restrict some technologies in this map? ATM we only have two options: give no technologies or give all technologies... it would be nice to be able to choose what technologies to allow in the map.
The new escort isn't so bad, now the map they really need to work on is District(?), much too linear, needs alternate routes :mad: .
Hey, well please let me know what new routes changed the game so much, i tried to keep it so that they didnt give you a direct route to flag.
I'll do more testing today and show you a couple of problematic tunnels that give BE a bit too much advance(in form of screenies :D ). You eliminated quite a number of chokepoints that gave the NF a fighting chance.
I was in sead game i renember at the end we tryed to recap the last flag it did seem like the other team had thier act together and they had some pritty neat tanks but i agree the extra tunnels ment their was no way to hold them back for long
It is very suspicious, poor spelling, only joined today, seems to know what goes on in the forum despite no experience here "I might get flamed for this". Every other person who joins the forum usually has no idea they are about to be flamed for saying the scout should have a real sniper rifle
Doobie, I for one like the new Escort. Elimination of the chokepoints Wereaser is speaking of was a good thing. Now the NF need to use some teamwork, instead ot turret-farming one spot and 'nade-spamming the second. Wereaser, give people a chance to get used to the changes in this map before jumping to conclusions. Most people simply haven't adapted to the new dynamics, and are still trying to use the old tricks that may no longer be as effective as they were before.
the 1 game i played on it NF won and BE just bairly got to flag #3, but it looked like BE would have gone all teh way with just few hundred more tickets.
Well i played 2 games on escort with imp losing, and they just barly made it to the 4th flag. I'm not going to change anything for a few weeks, so please let me know what parts are the most unfair. Is that dark area too dark or anything?
