i was playing glycen city with a freind >!JAMOY!<{TPOB} and we started to talk about ideas most of the credit goes to him as he had a head full of them. *edited*engie's have a glock type micro with 30 rounds and fully automatic n.f and b.e get sights on rpg's shotgun's better stamina selction of armor heavy, light or no armour (heavy lowers stamina by 40%damge reduced by 35%) all guns have ironsight, different key for melee faster rockets more recoil on rifles new models for nf and b.e snipers nf light rifle and heavy rifle new melee animations better invisibility for scouts more classes e.g. demo man adjustable zoom for snipers engines are harder to over heat remote mine detonator new player models new nf gun materials (don't ask me about them his idea) turrets less accurate but more damage i would like you to post your own ideas and what you think is a good idea
A Pistol shoots Pistol ammunition. An SMG shoots pistol ammunition. An SMG fires fully automatic, a pistol doesn't. 1 + 1 = 2.
i agree with all of your sujestions and for the engine over heat thing look at this thread: http://forums.empiresmod.com/showthread.php?t=4900 but some good ideas
no im sure it uses smg ammo but it would be better then there ordinary pistol nad besides it wasn't my idea
Overheating is there because you have to overheat, otherwise you'd just fire your weapons forever. The others ideas aren't very good either.
thats not a nice thing to say. i happen to like some of the ideas like being able to choose heavy armour which works on alot of game like Rainbow Six. and by the way most smg's do fire pistol ammo because the ones that do were invented by the brits in WW2 because we had lots of 9mm and no rife ammo thats where the stern was made.
solokiller, The ideas arnt that bad some of them are great like the Grenadier having a automatic micro submachinegun type gun and the armour now comon. choice of armour will rock!
Well obviously that one is a good idea because it's already ingame. Everything else has been suggested before, most of them tons of times.
if thev been said tons of time then how come they havnt been implamented then? and why not? GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT!!! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
If you can formulate a full reason why, including looking at why it might be a bad idea, I'm sure the Devs would be inclined to listen. At the moment, all they can see is poorly develouped ideas, bad grammar/spelling, as well as a lack of the ability to use the search button. And to whoever said about SMGs being created by the brits to use pistol ammo; A machine gun uses rifle ammo, a submachine gun uses pistol ammo. If an SMG used rifle ammo, it would break people's arms, that's why the Stg44 had a stock. At the same time, having a glock style weapon would imbalance the Gren against other players - Scouts and Engineers would be equals to them, when they are meant to be better than them. As well as this, Grens can use the Mortar to take down targets at a distance. The reason the grenadier class in the Battlefield series have SMGs is because they have NO other anti infantry weaponry, and the game makes you work as a team, while having only a pistol makes the gren vulnerable, so teamwork is needed to support them.
Welcome to empires shadowhunter! I think i've seen you before. Your suggestions and ideas will get more respect and attention with: One suggestion per thread. Details and reasoning behind each idea use the search function on the forum before you suggest stuff so you do not suggest thing already discussed.
Okay, people. Let's get some perspective here. Shadowhunter: The traffic in this forum is insane, so posting a whole list of ideas without showing that you have spent any time thinking about them is irksome to those who are more serious in their pursuit of game improvements. My advice is to spend a week lurking, post only a single idea or group of ideas per thread, an use the format listed in the 'Organize Stuff' thread, so that people will take you more seriously. If that is more than you are willing to do, then please, for the sake of others, restrict yourself to replying to other people's threads, and only post minor alterations to their suggestions. Also, improving your punctuation/grammar/etc. would also go far in improving how people view your ideas. It's not too bad, but it could stand some improvement. Angry Hillbilly: That last paragraph is for you, too, buddy. Trid3nt: You make a good DeadlyDad substitute. Thanks for saving my typing fingers. (both of them) Solokiller: The herb is calling. For all of our sakes, please answer it. :p
