EDIT: I fail at reading, it's the 27th.... http://www.moddb.com/groups/social-modding-club/news/gaming-events-for-feburary-24th-27th-and-28th Apparently the Social Modding Club from Moddb is going to be playing some Empires this Saturday between 2-5pm EST. Yay new players!
Trickster vs HSM the whole time on House of Rage while the rest of us all abuse remote mines. Also, Pickled and I should be spec so we can argue over all chat. 3hours of that ought to scare them off. No, actually this is a good opportunity, I hope that server admins and players alike will be on their best behavior because this could be very good for us.
We could use this event to advertise 2.25 Spawwn, you could contact the guys sponsoring this event and tell them about 2.25. Anyways, I'll only command if I get the players I want, else I'll rage and scare everyone off.
I believe the reason they're hosting it is because with the latest news that 2.25 will still be coming out it generated enough buzz to hit their radar, and they mention that 2.25 is upcoming in their blurb. But yeah. If we can hook new players, especially since this crowd is made of mod players/developers and thus less likely to rage about the lack of polish, should be a good time to net them in. Also, testing should end before their event ends. Either that or I suck more than I think on timezones.
TBH it's probably best that they try it ahead of 2.25. I've not seen 2.25 and very much look forwards to doing so, but at least this way we can guarantee that their experience won't be spoilt by unforeseen glitches.
Yes, they will be playing about a week before 2.25 and it's probably better that way. I agree this is probably more important than the play test, perhaps test can be moved one direction or the other?
Gotcha. I moved the playtest to an hour earlier so it will be playtest 12-2pm EST then Social Modding Group 2-5pm EST.
