It's not forgotten really ... i just stopped mapping when i stopped playing empires. So i fear there won't ever be a new version of slaughtered. Or at least it would be extremely unlikely.
I'm currently compiling what I hope will be able to replace the current emp_slaughtered. New textures, slight adjustments to the displacements, optimization, and completely redone bridge and towers. The first test came out gorgeous but there was a small problem with the ssbump. Hopefully it will be in the testing phase before tonight is over.
