From WCCFTech: "Intel Skylake-H Workstation and Mobility Lineup Unveiled – Flagship Core i7-6820EQ and Xeon E3-1500M With GT4e iGPU." 25 W quad-cores! (GT2 GPU) Strange that GT4e is only in the Xeon lineup so far.
"With our discrete testing on a GTX 980, our series of games had little impact on increased frequency at 1080p or even SoM at 4K. Some might argue that this is to be expected, because at high settings the onus is more on the graphics card – but ultimately with a GTX 980 you would be running at 1080p or better at maximum settings where possible."
This is perfect. I run 4.3 and the 970 is limiting most of the time. EDIT: I'm still new to ASUS mainboards, are their update notes and versioning always like that? Newest Bios update version number increased by >100% must be great
Well yeah, site that tests CPUs in a GPU limited environment, will find that the clockspeed of a GPU limited CPU doesn't matter. Meanwhile a better test in so many ways:
That was nice until GTA 5. That benchmark reportedly throws big differences on every run, the city is never in the same 'state' (sometimes a bit more cars, sometimes less), people even found that GTA 5 is artificially optimized around 60 FPS.
