Yeah, I thought that was what the 74 used. The AK-108 is the one that uses NATO. ( I knew there was at least 1 AK that used it )
Hah! I are beat gamez! Me mad, me got "riches" ending, even tho me had prerequisit for good ending. Me go play from earlier saved point, me try find Strelok for *SPOILER* the other 2 endings.
No dudes, the G36C with a silencer and a grenade launcher is secksy. Combine the power with the stealth and accuracy and you have a secksy secksy gun. Or, you can just get the wierd little uber-fast sniper rifle thats presilenced, that thing is secskysecksysecksy. Or teh gauss rifle at the end.
Well, not everyone... :p I noticed that too, actually. I wonder if it's just less gender-progressive in Russia, or what.
maybe the no women thing has to do with legal issues... just like there are no children in half life 2 or fallout 2 because various US states and European countries forbid showing violence against kids in video games (i think.... too lazy to look it up.) ... or maybe all the scientists wearing the masked suits are women. Or maybe those crazy ex-soviets are just sexist.
Hey, guys, a friend managed to find translations for some of the jokes in the game. They're actually pretty good!
Sorry about the double post, but the forums wouldn't let me post them all at once. All found here. There's also a somewhat good joke thread here. Lol, wall of text.
So I've been mucking around with the graphics in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and motion blur isn't actually too shabby. It only kicks in when you're moving, unfortunately, but it's still pretty. Have a looksee! ~Check out the lower half of this screenie to see the blur. ~Turning creates some nice blur, and it really gives you a sense of motion. ~This screenie is kind of decieving. It looks like the bandit is blurring as he moves, but it's really just me poking around the corner. There's only motion blur when your character turns or moves in any direction. ~A third person view of me sprinting. Perrrrty. Keep in mind that in all of those screenies I have the motion blur set to 1. Apparently you can set it to any value betwen 0 and 1, and maybe even above that, but I didn't realize that until after I quit and did some more research. 0.1 is recommended, apparently. I also mucked around with Global Illumination, but the performance hit it inflicted upon my rig was far too severe. It was pretty, though.
