Should I buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.?

those body havent actually dissapeared, if you manage to move them they will reappear.

 

I'm looking forward to seeing the 1.1111 patch and the 1.08 patch, just for fun.

it sounds like the game recieves good reviews from the community, as long as you download the patches/mods/fixes right away. I'll be buying it in a week or so.

 

got the mod, havent had a chance to play yet.

out of curiousity, what engine does the game use (im sure i could find out myself quite easily, but this way is funner :D)? How easy is it to mod the game? It could have some sweet mods, mainly 40K!!! HOOAH!!!!

 

fun game. Reminds me of fallout indeed. Only thing I don't like about it so far is the number of bullets required to kill someone

 

Gotta get to the good guns, Dee, the pistols in the beginning suck. My g36 takes em out just fine, AND i just got a AK74 with a scope and a grenade launcher.

Sadly, the locals havent learned that fucking with me is a bad idea. I was running away from X18 and stopped in the pig farm where the stalkers live. I got scammed once, then murdered when i tried to follow. So i reloaded, got scammed again, then snuck around (with the NPC view mod) and knifed the guy gaurding the back in one hit, then went in and murdered the 6 stalkers in there.

Good times...

 

Grayclay, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. uses the X-Ray engine, which the developers made themselves. Not sure how easy it is to mod for.

Dee, once you get some of the later and more accurate weapons, you'll find combat tends to end more quickly. Headshots have a tendency to do that.

I don't have STALKER, but i think you could make some changes to the weapons so they do more damage.

 

Killing someone with a pistol is the same as bashing someone with your fists on morrowind. But an AK will pop anyone instantly in the head x.x Headshots FTW.

Artifact Hunt is fun, but I whish more people played it.

And Grrr, ever since the patch Its locked up every 10 minutes.

stats are there for a reason!

 

The first one was designed in 1947 and used 7.62x39mm rounds while the latter was designed in 1974 and uses 5.46x39mm rounds(if my memory serves me right, anyways ak74 is of smaller caliber).
