is it possible to spawn, lets say, a headcrab on the field if you are the administrator of the server? and is it possible to have default NPCs on the map with NPC spawners to keep them present?

I understand that there would likely be issues with this, such as getting kills on NPCs to boost scores, and other balancing issues, but would it be possible for the lulz?

I like this idea. It reminds me of starcraft neutrals. Make it so when you kill a npc you can harvest it for meat.

No, the standard Valve flair AI code does not work in empires.

But you can spawn bots that spin around and bounce off walls......

Krenzo coded in bots, HL2 NPC code isn't in the Empires code.

Also bots and NPCs are two different things, in every instance I know of they use different coding, act differently, and don't use the same navigation system as NPCs, they might be similar on a very superficial level but as entities they are quite different.

NPCs that used bot code would be interesting. Though, CS:S bots need a stupidly detailed nav graph, and it doesn't even work all that great for a lot of custom maps.

It only works great if you edit the nav... which takes a while to.. ..
the auto generated navs fail most of the time (especially if the map has ladders).
