This is about new scout ability to spot a building or vehicle for 6 seconds and if a squad member destroys it you get a point. Its hard to figure out if you spotted it long enough. I was playing yesterday and I thought that it wasnt working but it turns out I just wasnt spotting it for the full 6 six seconds. So why not add a progress bar, or something to tell you that it has been spotted for the six seconds such as "Target Locked", or "Target Spotted".
Can anyone say how long does spotted target stay visible and how many targets can you spot at the same time?
Id wish the messeage was changed to something more generic than calling down an art strike 70% of the time I use binos is to inform my mates about APC's, tanks, turrets or expansions, generelly scouting ahead. Spotting enemy mine fields would be a nice feature to it shows up on the minimap aswell...
yeah, that's good. what about if when you clicked the mouse button down, a menu thing appears after half a second. in the center is "target spotted" (generic). then if you drag your mouse to the edges, then above you get "need artilliary" to the left is "armour spotted" to the right is "infantry spotted" and we could have mines, turrets and buildings at the bottom.
fww already works like this, so why not add this functionality to the binoculars? Or even make them detect enemies 'far cry' style. That would make them really useful, then any targets that the scout sees marked on his hud could also be marked on the minimap whilst he's looking at them. When he puts the binocs away, they disappear.
