I can't believe this game is back. This is one of the few FPS/RTS hybrids made and they just rereleased it with a whole new game engine
I remember playing one of the savage games, probably 2, it was pretty neat. I just didn't like how money worked. Needed cash to use anything other then basic stuff and you got most of it from killing others I think, so it meant super scrubs like me never really get the chance to progress from basic grunt class that died to 2 hits from most things. I guess that's one of the many reasons I liked empires, anyone gets a chance to use fun things.
Savage is a good game until you realize it's like empires but you have to pay literal cash to buy vehicles.
flashing UE4 graphics, few new gameplay features, strange but new theme universe for that genre mix, asymetric balancing... but, early access, no real new gameplay nor enhanced rts/fps mix, no vehicluar combat (siege only), about squad play and commander abilitys idk :-/ if you wanna play a great UE3 rts/fps mix you should try "Renegade X"!!! well aged gameplay concept, fan remade, no com needed, real arcade like the only downside is that vehicles are a bit more difficult to use than in the original cnc renegade
dunno I just played once yesterday and it was the learning game not multiplayer since I never played before. Will be playing again shortly I need to learn a lot but yeah its a lot like empires so I like that.
I looked at the server list about 20 servers with people and 9 full or nearly full at 32 players at full slots
