Can some one lodifie this model for me please? I need it for my next map, but since the the overal bunch is 10000 polyes, I think that it will save preformence for the weak machines. 4 or so lods should be enought.
Perhaps you should reduce the initial amount of polies from the trees and then think about LODs. 10K is quite a bit for a prop model. Two LODs sounds good.
Yes, you should use fog + Z clip. In fact all outdoor Empires maps should use it. It's not a matter of graphical performance only, it's about net performance too. Server consumes more bandwidth if clients are able too see the entire map (they see all events in the map all the time). I could try to make LODs for your model, which format does it use?
.smd so it will be convertable.. I will probebly compile and release it when Ill get the lods, since i dont have any more time to mess with games..
