how idiotic is that? you have to wait relatively long for the next round to start anyway, this would only prolong it and drive players away. it might even mean the end of empires. there really is only one server left (on weekends maybe a 2nd one - not counting oc) anyway ...
We need new players, but I don't want to have new players being introduced into the Outcast way of running things. I pledge $100 in advertising, to be used the second the Oc dies. Maybe on some half-life 2 forum or something.

Reminds me of this. ffs, how could this end up talking about shitty gimmicky maps? All I asked for is a map that enforces you to take action to choose the next map, like all the other mods have. Yes, also all the other mods have shitty gimmicky maps too, but that is not what I requested.

the amount of really bad maps that exist means that the plugins that are used to prevent repeating maps get useless. because to me all shit maps are equal, so the more there are, the more likely you will encounter one, at the cost of playing a good map - until the next vote, but since there are so many shit maps, once again, the good maps go unplayed. dig?
Just cuz people make a bunch of shit maps don't mean that they have to be in rotation. Just make one shit map for late night players that basically just want to screw around and have the server admins take the rest off the rotation list.
I have something already made that could be jerryrigged to some kind of lobby map. I'd need at least a little bit of code or script support though. And I promise to delete every copy of it off the face of the earth if it sucks.
