This is the thread for discussion and idea finding for the new Brenodi Empire RPG/Mortar Combination. Keep this civil and stick with the current style of Empires. Anyone working on this or wanting to pitch constructive ideas may post here. Some things to note with this model: - It does not necessarily have to be a 2 in 1 weapon again. 2 separate weapons are fine as well. - Coders are asked to post here as well, since the mortar requires some back and forth between the artists and other developers, considering it's crouch/prone firing mechanic.
M202 Put a kick stand on it and it can become a mortar. I personally think we should keep the current BE mortar and just use a different rpg.
Be mortar looks to much like a uniform tube compared to nfs detail. Rpgs shield must absolutely go away. im interested in why it needs a remodel. is it just because the mortar is missing its third person view?
Re-editing the model has been discussed and apparently its easier to make a new one because it would fuck with the animation for the mortar when the animation for it is perfect and nobody should touch the animation for the mortar. Ever..
Could you change that blast shield to glass or some type of plastic? It would serve the purpose of protecting the face and still let you see through. Considering it's just a texture thing I think it wouldn't mess with the mortar animations.
lol what? Why does it need a blast shield... if it doesn't do shit for you? IF while aiming you got 10% reduction in damage I could see it staying in. Otherwise... remove that useless shit. Protip Viroman: If you're going to argue about why a feature is bad, don't use a weapon that was upgraded to include said feature and was found to be better with that feature. Here're a bunch of images of the Raketenpanzerbüchse 43, the first Panzerschreck. It has no blast shield. And here're a bunch of images of the Raketenpanzerbüchse 54, which was widely considered to be a good upgrade, especially because of that blast shield.
Yes... except the blast shield actually works for them. Does it for us? Blast shields work? Who would have thought of that? Too bad our developers didn't think that instead of throwing a vision blocking object in for no reason other then... they had it in WW2 for some silly reason that we are not going to investigate.

Exactly... it worked for them. It actually did a job of saving the solders lives. It does no such thing in the game in fact it does the opposite.
Okay. I'll make you a deal. We remove the blast shield, but now due to the lack of protection, using the RPG causes 10 damage to the gren.
