Germany is a great country
Its alright to hold the magazine, but because the magazine is close to the stock, and both hands so closer together than if the left hand were on the foregrip, it becomes harder to control recoil.
recoil could make your hand dislodge the magazine, this would create a very sticky situation if you fired full automatic at an enemy, and your magazine dislodges after the first round and you did not hit your enemy yet
You won't be shooting automatic with a real weapon like that anyway. The recoil is too great on rifles like that to hit stuff you need to hit. All your "hold like this" arguments are moot.
its what i got educated when i received Belgian military training with old FN FAL's
i never really tried out if it really was like that, but i do expect these educators to know what they are talking about, being: NEVER HOLD THE MAGAZINE WHILE FIRING
I personally dislike that in this model, the magazine is being held.
But everybody is entitled to their own opinion I guess.
Indeed, this is more NF SMG1 style.
I've held and fired a modified FAL (Swedish Ak4). I need to be fatter for better recoil absorbtion
And If you really want to go crazy and fire on full auto with a gun like that (NATO 7,62 rounds ffs) you gotta hold it like Arnie holds the minigun in Predator, and tilt it sideways, then hold the front grip/barrel. Fucking crazy gun.
