Recoil out of wack for the BE HR

    It's a bit of a joke atm, especially with the iron sights.

    @Trickster: I'm pretty sure I spammed you about it, but idr if you noted or fixed it.

    Recoil does not go randomly in three different directions. The BE HR seems to, and there is very little pattern to it, so it's difficult to compensate. Yes I thought of that comment. That one too.

    Your talking about short bursts of fire right?
    I do that and get raped by the NFAR every single time at all ranges.

    Sourcemod commands do not add weight to your argument and I think I speak for most people when I say they make you look dumb.

    BEHR is, imo, the only weapon I don't need to change. It has heavy recoil, yes. It isn't too fantastic in ironsights, yes. But that's intended. You'll also notice that you can be moving or stationary, and it makes no difference to your accuracy. That's the point of the BEHR. As I've said about 100 times by now:

    NFAR is overpowered, I will nerf it in some way.
    NFHR & BEAR are underpowered at the ranges they are supposed to be used at. But both are a bit better than they should be at closer ranges.
    BEHR is fine, easy to use if you have the ability to move your mouse to compensate for recoil (I know, moving your right hand whilst doing other stuff can be difficult, but everyone on this forum should be pretty good at that by now).

    I still think all weapons could benefit from a little bit less reloading times. Feels sluggish at times. :P

    Reloading times are a different kettle of fish. I want to make that faster, as well as the ironsight animation, but then I have to recompile all the models. I'll look into it at one point, and I did manage it with the NFHR, although I haven't got that anymore, so I need to do it again.

    All guns should instakill, reload times need to be instant, and infantry should have unlimited ammo. Since waiting for engineers to drop ammo is boring, and slows down gameplay.

    Infantry all ready have infinite ammo anyways because of ammo boxes.

    Fast Gameplay > Slow Gameplay

    I'll take a second look, but the recoil seemed off, e.g. randomly throwing your aim around instead of tending in one direction as one would expect. Combined with the iron sight issues, it just makes the rifle no fun to use when compared to the NFAR or BEAR.

    A side note: on normal maps, the BEAR is OP in it's current state, but on escort it seems seriously in need of a damage buff. My guess is that it's the number of riflemen, and people with dig in/additional health.

    The BEHR in ironsights kicks up and to the right, it seems.
    Anyways, really using ironsights for behr is a joke, just hold down the fire button and mouse down a bit until your target dies.

    so u can use BEHR stationary and on the move.. what diff does it make for either if u cant hit anything XD?.. im gonna say it but, i rather use an HMG than BEHR =3..

    there is no way you can compensate for recoil in empiresmod if its to all directions, recoil for the behr is semi-random to all directions for most part

    also dependant on how you are the behr will ether kick to both left and right sides equally:

    when jumping (worst case scenario)
    "JumpingKick_Y_FullSpread_Max" "2"
    "JumpingKick_Y_FullSpread_Min" "-2"
    "JumpingKick_Y_NoSpread_Max" "1"
    "JumpingKick_Y_NoSpread_Min" "-1"

    or will kick to the right mainly when ducking

    "DuckingKick_Y_FullSpread_Max" "1.2"
    when the crosshair is fully spread, this is the max the random kick can be to the right (negative is to the left)
    "DuckingKick_Y_FullSpread_Min" "0.5"
    when crosshair fully spread this is the minimum kick to the right
    "DuckingKick_Y_NoSpread_Max" "1"
    when the crosshair is completely relaxed this is the max kick to the right
    "DuckingKick_Y_NoSpread_Min" "0"
    when the crosshair is completely relaxed this is the min kick to the right (0 is no kick)

    That's why every infantry map feels broken (e.g. more than their normal broken state).

    Recoil isn't fun, it's annoying, it just makes the gun feel dinky because I can't fire it for more than 1 second without it going all over the place.

    Unless the gun is a single shot gun that is supposed to have downtime between shots, don't give it recoil.
