"radius" for command vehicle

    like the radar, camera, turrets have - show a radius so you know how far the command vehicle can "see" so it can build.

    give all units the radius maybe?

    Well this is kinda useful for those commando coms. Say like a slight green outline surrounding the coms radius when they are in build mode?

    exactly - and its not just good for commando comms, but good for early game or with small teams or just with unco-operative teams.

    just wondering... why is there a radius for the CV?

    the only time i EVER use the radius is to ram the enemy commander and then use the radius power to build walls around the enemy comm.

    what? this is a suggestion to MAKE a radius, there currently is none

    i mean why is there an always build radius (even if there's no visual indicator)

    cuz then you could wall in the enemy com with no one around him.

    Or wall in the enemy base.

    There is a build radius for every unit. ;P

    the commander one is special in that it over rides everything else, so unlike other units you can build if there are enemies nearby.

    you dont understand what im asking...

    I want to see the green ring - nothing changed in coding, i just want to SEE where my build bounds are.

    I don't remember a changelog that said..."you can now place com buildings/walls within feet of enemies"

    besides... I know this to be not true because you can't wall up money when there are tanks near the place you want to wall.

    You didn't see it in the changelog because it's always been in the game. So unless it was changed during the RC's, it's still in.

    if you've miss understood what i mean is that the current radius around the command vehicle is unique because it allows you to place buildings even if enemies are nearby.

    I've thought of a new good reason for this now though. aside from ramming NME CVs and walling them, it's good because it allows you to put walls behind you as you make a get away. some people would say that that was bad, because they like that, but i think it's a good feature that helps prevent "premature" ends to a game, such as a single LT taking out the CV.

    are we talking a radius over all players or just one over the comm? because if it were over all players that would make crowded areas very confusing, although that could be fixed by making the comm able to toggle weather or not he can see them.

    Wow noone is understanding what I'm asking.

    1) Boot up empires
    2) Become commander
    3) Build a turret or radar
    4) CLICK the turret or radar.
    5) Notice the green circle that shows on the terrain around these units?

    I'm asking for a green circle to appear around the command vehicle by default so you know where your build 'bounds' are.
