Grizzly: SOF: sort out the elevators.

i'm especially refering to the buttons in the lift. currently a grey cube. no joke. a grey cube.

just thought I should mention it because if that gets into the public release it's gunna look very poor.

keep up the good work on the level, each time i see a new revision of it I am impressed.

speaking of the elevators, make it clear which ones work. i seen many elevator doors with a button, yet a number of them do nothing. maybe a beep when the elevator switch works, and a negative sound when it doesn't?

Or just a spark that indicates it's broken.

anything to aid in recognizing elevators that don't work other than waiting and none coming.

Grizzly made the doors so that they're accessible to him (400 lbs+ body weight).

For broken buttons I find a good way of doing it is to have them either cracked or hanging off and sparking intermittantly.

Not only the elevators, but all of the doors scattered around the map need a handle if you can open them. People are coming from Hl2 ya know...

could just put a light above the elevators, red for not working, green for working

Stop making it easy for me!
but yeah, atm the buttons are sparkly, but green/red lights might be better looking

i disagree really... when was honestly the last time an elevator had it's own "this elevator is in the shit" light that could go red to help everyone? it would look corney to me really.

so make it a white light. on is working, off is not working. and its not always about what youd expect to see in the real world, its about giving clever hints to the player so they can recognize whats going on immediately.

do something like this, make the light on when the elevator is working and off when its not.

and could we have a light that indicates the elevator is moving? its a pain waiting there, thinking its coming, and then you find out its not when you die from waiting too long.
