Hey Viki.... I don't see your battle laptop. Im digging the semi-professional mic though.

 

that's my desktop where I spend most hours of the day when my back wasn't out. My laptop is in my bedroom next to my bed, been using it for almost 3 months waiting for my back to heal. Tomorrow I'll post a pic of it.

The mic is hooked up to a hardware mixer. I used to dj alot in chat rooms. I use 2 soundcards at times when I want to stream music in the background and also have people use the room's audio at the same time.

 

weird, there is lots of software to stream music so you don't need another sound card.

 

Yeah but 2 soundcards is arguably one of the easiest and best ways of doing it.

 

Just use Icecast. Simplest thing in the world.

 

Fooshi, you can't stream live mixing to us yet. Buy a better router.

 

I use music from my pc and the best way to stream is through a soundcard not through mic, using the recording settings such as stereo mix, what you hear, wave out etc. When using these setting if people key up on audio to speak it causes a bad echo. Using a second sound card eliminates the echo so people can talk on audio while I am streaming music in the background

The moisturiser is honestly for my hands, every time I shower I feel like I've been molesting a chalkboard for eight hours, first thing I do is E45 my hands so I can stop wanting to cut my own skin off. It's really annoying having to spend at least one day in every three or four with a burning desire to flay your own skin from your body.

The tissues I don't know what they were for, must have had a cold or something when I took it because usually there's just a roll of toilet paper, I never learned how to blow my nose delicately so tissues just disintegrate if I try to use them. Kitchen roll or lots of bog roll is required, for I have a mighty nose and demand sturdy snot rags.

 

If Steam had better voice compression that didn't make all the audio sound like a 32 Kbps MP3, I'd totally buy a good soundcard to play audio over voice chat. But as it is, I can't stand how compressed it gets.

Can't blame them though; voice chat is compressed to reduce latency and bandwidth, not to make it sound pretty.
