Possible fix for the armor bug

    As a temporary fix, move the some of the armor hp to hull hp and remove the armor? Also, increase the repair speed to account for the new hp value.
    If the bug is just in the armor, this should let testing continue until the bug is found.

    It isn't in the armour, it's in the hull too.

    Did anyone consider giving the CV composite, to see if it still happens? It could be a problem with the resists for the CV armour going haywire.

    Well there's two separate issues.

    Vehicle MG resists are completely off. A 50cal APC kills 4 jeeps in 1 second (was fun, mind you), and kills a comm in 3.

    Then there's the issue of every weapon's damage being amplified by the commander. Keep in mind hull health isn't affected. So it JUST might be the armor, but that's only ½ of the major bugs.

    Is it? How many RPG shots did it take to kill a comm? In emp_main it took me 8 mines + 6 or so.

    um... jeeps don't have armor so how is it NOT a hull bug too?

    The problem here is, some of you are talking about one bug, others are talking about another. What you get, is the people who play SVN thinking they know how it works blah blah, and the people who actually play empires who know blah blah.

    It's this simple:

    In Empires 2.25 & SVN: There is a bug, which SOMETIMES occurs in which ONLY THE COMMAND VEHICLE will have far less health than he is supposed to. Notable features include the armour dying very quickly, but the hull dying pretty quickly too, rather than having the usual 2000hp, it appears to have considerably less.

    In SVN Empires ONLY: There is a bug, which only occurs on servers (again, only sometimes at that), and never on "client create server" in which vehicle MGs, be they infantry only (std, 50cal) or vehicle (DU, HEMG) will rip apart all vehicles in a matter of seconds. This bug was not present when we did the last 20-person test, as my team attacked the enemy command vehicle using DU, and did not insta-shred it. They were however, aided by the original comm armour bug.

    Learn what the fuck you're actually talking about.

    Come on people even I knew this and I havn't even been in a tester session for a while...... :rolleyes:
    Its no use Trickster, they will never have the capacity to understand. :(
