    They hate the way that GMOs are currently used, not them themselves. They call for a moratorium, not a ban. And yeah, I already said I disagree with their stance on nuclear (they want a ban, rather than a moratorium.) Otherwise they are nearly 100% in line with my views.

    Is there even a country where a resident green party has any meaningful sway? It seems like everyone has one and sure enough they seem outspoken but i dont really see much bite to go with the bark.

    Define meaningful please. In the Netherlands we have a party called "Partij voor de dieren". They are pretty hardcore on animal rights and the whole go go green stuff. Seeing as they have seats in the 'senate' as well as the house of reps they have some sway in Dutch politics and they regularly force the other parties to discuss green topics. (In Dutch politics a party with only one seat can be quite disruptive when they need to, so they can never be totally ignored.)
