Just wondering will there be one and will we be playing 2.2 to spot some other bugs which haven't already reported or are we still going to play the 2.12?
I remember reading about a map that could need testing, but I can't find the proper thread right now.
The map was arid and we tested it on the first playtesting event. So I guess there aren't any playtesting events today.
I'd LOVE to test a new map !! I'm going to a friend for ... 2 hours max, after that i'll be online if someone needs me.
I'll organize playtesting sessions as I find out about things to playtest. As it stands I'm not sure if testing 2.2 will give very good returns, it's already been well tested and many bugs are known.
aye. i'm no longer testing 2.2. The devs need to make a new release. There's plenty of bugs for them to fix from the months of testing.
it would be much more uplifting for the community if the devs would just post in a forum that is locked whats fixed when its fixed so we have a feeling that something is going on. Going long bouts without updates to the forums, even though things are working in the background, have killed many a mod.
Most of the changes are behind-the-scenes code stuff, so there isn't much to show for it until a release... unless we put out screenshots of chris's map in action... with full particle effects or whatever it uses.
I have a suggestion, even if we don't have anything done (or something that can't be quantified like code tweaks), it might be helpful to have a "screenshot of the month" or maybe "concept drawings" (even if done by the community), running at the same time so that the page can still get updated. It's nice to have some sort of feedback, even if it's something silly like that, to show that we're still here chugging.
maybe even use some of the screenshots from testing 2.0 for a few screenshots if you need to add volume (not enough has been changed so far to make them all obsolete---although wont be able to use screenshots with walls)
So, will there be a new test of arid this week (23.05.08)? Silk has fixed a lot of bugs. I'd be there if it's between 5 and 12 pm GMT.
