So I joined a server the other day and realized that I could hear the voice chat of both teams, as well as spec, despite alltalk being off. I think I could see their regular text chat too, but I didn't check to closely. Restarting empires failed to fix it. At Rex's suggestion I typed snd_restart into console, after which I could no longer hear any voice chat. I tried just muting everyone on the entire team but I could still hear them. Any ideas?
How do I do this so I can sploit epicly? This is nearly as awesome at 2.12 impulse101. Do you have admin on said server? It might have been admin sentinel.
I've also been able to do this, some can confirm. I've been hearing enemy plans for the entire game. It's something random, but I'll see as to how I did it. Alt-tabbing in and out seems to sometimes toggle it.
I do have admin on Nachos, and come to think of it there have been some server changes between when I played and this didnt happen, and when i played and it did. I'll look into it.
hey WTFFace, your'e an admin the nachos server, the Admin Sentinal was not set up yet so you were able to hear both teams. Just type !enemyvoice in chat to turn it off. Server is still being fiddled with, but we can't change to much at a time since the server is so damn unstable with 2.23. Major changes will be around with 2.24.
