art is everything that is not code or mapping my friend, I meant the planes need to be modeled and textured.
Don do you need any help? I may be able to give some time towards modelling if you need. The commercial game I'm working on is in a bit of a standstill while we hunt for publishers and an engine license.
Dang, wasn't smart enough to have a look into the /video folder. :D Yeah, errr well .. hopefully the damage is more predictable now.
that is a beauuuuuuuuutiful gun. about the scope: it would really suit the weapon if the scope was really dirty / grainy. also, i don't know how fake this will seem, but if you could superimpose a curvey pic of the end of the barrel onto the scope zoom where the end of the barrel is it would be awesome, because currently, the bit of the weapon you can see looks a bit, angular... good work though. absolutely first class, and the animations look like they were designed for a feature length movie at that standard.
Well ... you guys will never take me serious after this, but the guns suddenly do look a lot better in the high quality videos.
Remember, its just animations that aren't done, so its not much quality sacrificed. If its something more important, then I'd have to agree. But a few animations? They are nice, but not essential.
Correction, models, not animations. Models were not done. He means in-game models. I was referring to the models that have been created outside of HL2, but we can't have in-game models until animations are applied. - Krenzo
Well that concerns me. I personally own an Armorite .50 cal. And I can personally tell you that if you shot it standing up you "would" fall down. Now if I have in on a tripod, sitting down, with an air compensator the size of an apple. It hardly has a kick. It definitly needs a massive kick to it, and/or require you to be crouching/prone to fire it. Unless the soldiers are all built like arnold in his twenties. (Side note: That probally would still knock you down though.)
Darg, what game are you working on? And i agree, you should be forced to crouch to shoot the Medium Rifles, and Prone to shoot the MGs.
Im afraid the kind of help I need is makeing low poly models for normal mapping. NOt exciting stuff. If, however, you did want to make some lowpoly models for normal mapping, it would greatly speed things up for us.
I would actually do that, I'm pretty good at modeling. I can send you a Demo beforehand so you see you're not giving it to some random idiot. Would be glad to help. I'll send you a PM, Megel.
