I'm taking a break till 1.08 comes out. After playing several maps I was burn't out by the fact that engines are just f'd up. (Lost pitifully due to this fact) I'm posting this out of anger mostly, but I will be gone till 1.08 is released and hopfully this bug along with many others is fixed. Your fellow (and particularly pissed off) empires fan.
All the Battlefield servers are still running the default scripts, only R&D and Glory Of War have our balanced scripts.

He's either pissed off by the Source engine or doesn't like that the vehicle engines are underpowered (which is going to be changed in 1.08).
Suppose I should have elaborated more. I meant the vehical engines. Was playing on oasis and I couldn't even move forward because the ground wasn't completely flat. 3phase was the way you could get around unless you were in jeep. Now I know you may be thinking of replying that the probelm was with the map itself. But actually this is a problem with "all" maps that have any slopes at all. Tanks are meant to be all-terrain vehicals. But a tricycle on 5-speed can do better hill climbing than these. Up till now these problems simply bounced off me due to the game still having fun aspects. But these several matches were "completely" ruined due to this problem. (Granted they had more hills than average.) Beerdude: We have the engines patched on our R&D? The list only showed weapon changes. Wonder if this is why I havn't had any problems whatsoever on the R&D. If so I may still play on the R&D.
well I do have the updated engine scripts and just tried to upload them, but after a breach on our server a while ago, Eth0 has closed the ftp acces to the scripts, I don't know to whom you've sent them, but I take this as an invitation to put the scripts on, and will try to do so somewhere in the next couple of days
When I try to move backwards in tank and I press A and S at the same time tank goes very slowly. When I press S and then A/D I get the same effect but tanks is much faster. In short: moving in place is buggy because getting out of some area must be done very quickly on maps like escort. (it would be just fine to make movement in place have the same speed as going backwards) BTW solo wtf are you talking about?
He meant that there are no elevators (lifts or whatever you call the things) to get up hills and the Dev team is not at fault because of it
does it matter? there's been changes made, so when we see the results we can talk about it then. fair?
Don't worry Wizzy, I'll still play on the R&D when the engines get patched. Yes he did. But the question is where did that statement fit in? I know your reffering to the lift in the map railroad. But that hill isn't meant to be scaled by vehicals. We are all reffering to those "slight" inclines that a tank with treads and a super high-powered disel engine struggles to climb. (Or can't alltogether.)
I've honestly only had problems with the standard engine, and never on m_valley, which has the most hills. I do want to see the changes though, I'm sure they will help the lameness that is backing up (lame cause it doesn't seem like a constant.)
The horspower changes should hopefully be uploaded to the r&d today, i checked this morning and they werent uploaded yet, eth0 might get on today and upload em. I didn't check APC's but there are no changes made to jeeps, only tank engines. I love it
I wasn't referring to the lift in railroad, since i've never played that map or seen any screenshots about it.
