The problem of mic spam is overwhelming for me whenever I command, because its impossible to hear 3 people talk at the same time, let alone 5. The commander should only hear the squad leaders, and because they are usually the people that know what they are doing, it will be given to an experienced person rather than having a whole rape squad pushing through the whole battlefield to main.
What server are you on where 5 people talk about actual things at once? No, stupid suggestion, going to break shit loads of things to solve a problem that doesn't exist. As for mic spammers, they can muted with the tab menu.
i like this idea, although i think it would be best for large severs. in large severs, it would set up a bit of a "chain of command", where the only way voice your opinion is by joining squads and everybody hears the commander. most of the time the squad leader is a veteran of the game (knows what to do). OR it may cause everybody to become there own squad.
Don't like it. Only thing I would change is that all other players are muted when commander is talking.
With the way people in public servers play, this is going to be even more of a problem than the problem it is trying to solve. If you are com, tell people to shut up. If they don't listen, mute them. If your whole team plans mutiny, drive your com in the water.
NO. Squad leaders are just people that click "join alpha" faster then anyone else. The majority of the time they don't even know how to use squad points or where they should be going. SOMETHING needs to be done about mic spam on big servers, but its mostly on the admin's end.
This. People are relying far too much on scripts nowadays. Garry killed hlss because a few people complained about it. They could have muted the players. Admins could have muted them. but everyone is too lazy, so they just want it to be done for them.
