I'd love to make a comic about Empires. Just saw the BF2 video and laughed my ass off. If you guys can set a time sometime tomorrow or the next day, that'll be great.

Let's just make sure that one person can make really good scripts. Personally, it would be interesting to have a story about probably four friends who were drafted and soon experience the horrors of war. Lol I don't think so. Let's get this straight: Is it serious, or is it funny? If it's funny, I can contribute to make it not-corny :D If it's serious, I don't even know what I can do. I was counting on funny when I said I could help out... And also, are we posing or making a video? Because posing + serious = kinda boring, if you imagine all the serious pictures we've seen with Empires. They each took a long time, and were basically the same thing. If we do funny, we can do more original stuff that people can relate to.
Well heres a couple suggestions << When i play im mostly NF, which i act all patriotic especially when were losing, and i always call the BE's BucketHeads, and make crude jokes like, Your mother was a cow and your father a Bucket!, Come my brothers, we need fresh toilets for the trenches!, DEATH TO THE BUCKETHEADS!, but its always for fun, so i kinda find enjoyment acting like that XD -Funny names eachside calls eachother (like "bucketheads") -Them nade spammers ooooo >=| - Oh and a Jaws thing under that one map, i think it was district, i went under the map and acted like jaws before they kicked me off the server << wasnt like i was abusing that power XD -OoOoO Some propaganda posters or something, for the NF and BE XD that'll be funny. -Trench warfare with a n00b arties bombing the NF -This idea came from Firefly (i love that show) have the NF(dunno if theres a winter map >>) in trenches and the BE close and exchange stupid jokes then have the NF say their hungry and the BE throws alot of Apples, then their heads get blown up. dunno what else to put in but i bet you can turn that into something funny XD Yup, my suggestions are lame BUT I DONT CARE! =P having fun is all that matters.
Lol its still up... I made an attempt with garrys mod... I posted it in the Fan art thing, How about we change this into just a comic thread where people can post their comics... A video might be good... But I suspect it might take a bit too long... and heres the comic I posted... I still have more screenshots for the continuation...
IMO i think a few comics being serious would be a good idea, if we based them on "actual" happenings in the empires universe
Ok i was just thinking about it and came up with this "Platoon 17" Platoon 17 (or P17) are your run-of-the-mill platoon, made up of 3 sqauds (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie), Platoon Commander, And Platoon Sergeant. (Im using British std millitary because i just went for a cadet training exercise in it ) The squads are made up of eight men, divided into fireteams - Charlie and Delta. In each squad there are: Squad Sergeant, 2IC (Rifleman), 2 other riflemen, an Engineer and a Scout. And as i was thinking about it, i thought about having people from the forums as squad members (ie Krenzo as Platoon Commander) Just an idea, and if you want to be a person (im getting way ahead of myself here) just say here with your fav class Oh and the comic will focus mainly on Alpha Squad, but the others will get a show in.
AHAHA THOSE DARN BUCKETHEADS i can think of a good story, but im lazy =) hehe, can i work as a pitcher or something, throw ideas at you << and time to time make up a story >> hehe i dunno,
I say, screw serious comics and just do funny ones. Its much easier and would be much more entertaining, imo. Honostly, organizing a huge backstory comic would be cool, but it would take too much organizing :-P How about each person does their own individual comic strips. You could start a thread with the name of the comic as the topic. I would love to see a RvB ripoff if someone would have enough time to organize something like that. BTW, if anyone is in need of a good writer for a comic strip, pm me.
Well i want to, but im not good with G-Mod comic doing, so if anyone wants to help me with mine, Im thinking of calling it "Those Darn BucketHeads" or something along that sense.... Maybe "Commander Bob" (cause my names Bob when i play hehe also sounds like that radio show Stormtrooper Bob)
