The fastdl server has being moved to a glorious Canadian DigitalOcean VPS thats equipped with a gigabit connection. Most people will download maps significantly faster now compared to before.

 

What do you mean? People hardly vote for easyborough so rarely gets played.

 

Easrborough is a superior infantry Map. But not so much a warmup, more like the main event.

 

eastborough is bad for warmups (and sometimes even regular games) because server owners dont care to change the game start cvar for non-commander maps.
basically what happens is a person spawns and takes the whole map before people even join teams

 

I assume your talking about "emp_sv_vote_commander_time" cvar which controls how long the vote phase lasts for? The issue with this cvar is that some maps override it so even if you have it set to 130 seconds (on NUBS) the map might change it to only 60 seconds. I believe eastborough does this.

 

yes because its not a commander map. theres another cvar that controls the time for infantry maps (i cant recall it right now)

yep, thats the one. thats the timer that is used for conquest maps and escort

 

Changed emp_sv_wait_phase_time to 120 seconds on NUBS. I hope that's long enough.
