Not your everyday "server has different class tables"

Recently my computer fell victim of a pretty bad virus so I had to reinstall windows. A lot of programs aren't working so I am reinstalling them. So I decide to try to play Empires today and I get this error (along with getting KAC banned). So I try to play other mods, all work (including 2.24). I delete my empires folder, and reinstall full empires 2.23. I still get the server has different class table error. I try the 2.23 patch, still same error.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling empires almost 5 times now. Why am I seeing this message?

 

I didn't think KAC banned for different class tables, that might be a problem. Also, try the visual c++ redistributables (2005 & 2008).

2.24 should be free of redistributable issues

 

Okay figured it all out. First off, the server I was trying to connect to (because of its good ping for me) sucks and is still having teh invalid key size issues. Tried what coffee said (thanks, I swore that was fixed). Moved tons of files around. Reinstalled steam. I think it is all working now.
