It's called speedloader. Like this, but for shotgun: Why do you people compare it to an average "real-life" shotgun anyway? There are different kind of shotgun shells.. That one could use anykind of a shell instead of 12 gauge that you have seen in movies or pictures or whatever you've watched to get an image of a shotgun to your minds. Shotgun shell in reality can be of almost any size that's practical to that use. Making suppositions about the size of this gun based on your image of an average real life shotgun is kinda weird. Actually, if you really like to compare it to a real life shotgun: There is a real russian made revolver-type of shotgun MTs-255 Sorry if I am over-reacting, but it always bothers me when people have narrow-minded visions or suppositions about anything. In this case: Shotgun. Anyway, I like the design. It fits.
True however the animater has to be significantly more experianced in the case of this weapon. Pwnd I want you to not think about working on this gun. Not for you. I can find you something else to do If you have to much free time.
it bothers me more when people are narrow minded about narrow minded things they believe are essential and should be common knowledge while in reality its not and its named more wrong then right in the context it was placed no seriously, i know nothing of guns, dont expect me to name everything correct the first time please
Vess, unfortunately your design in it's current state is not implementable as a realistic firearm. The reason you rarely see long barreled cylinder weapon is because there is a significant loss of gas upon firing. Among this, with a shotgun the cylinder would need to sit almost flush with the opening of the barrel so that there would be no damage to your barrel from the expelled buck. And, on top of that, it would be barely plausible to have a 5 chamber cylinder for shells at 12 gauge, and the fact that if you're going to go for a combat shell; well go all in and get the 3 incher or the 3 1/2 incher shells. For all these reasons, and probably more, your shotgun just wouldn't work well or probably very safely. In game, why the hell not? It's an awesome design and one style I've contemplated on for a good few years now. It's been tried before unsuccessfully, but it can probably be done (just not cheap).
As an additional note, you would be out of your mind to not use a 12 or 14 gauge, any higher and you're significantly reducing your killing capacity in combat. Against body armor, multiple targets, cover, etc etc; the 12 gauge is just champ. Plus, if you wound someone, you want them to be wounded so bad that they can't shoot back at you.
Take the drum out and replace it with another. Like each time you finish a clip, replace the drum, seems easier than having dinky looking shotgun shells on a metal frame.
