I’ve noticed while i was messing around in my own server testing something, that if you build a NF Medium tank with ANY engine, while being a scout with vehicle speed, the tank will top out at 120khm. I tested this with every engine. The results are the same. But after visiting a repair pad to change out armor, engine, or weapons, the engine preforms as it should, standard not going over 75, and such. What causes this? And more importantly, can we have it fixed?
well I might come off as being a dick in that comment but, im just venting frustration at the long wait time between patches that ALL of us feel. Its not really directed at the dev team is just frustration in the general appearance of slowness in progress.
I'll try to get back to bug fixing soon, but to be honest, school is already enough stress in my daily life. Scout vehicle speed was using values from the wrong script. I don't think there's any way to mitigate this problem in the current version.
I know he already had a thread for it, but three cheers to Jephir for actually doing what a dev is supposed to do!
Funfact, NF Meds with scout speed can flip BE meds and heavies reliably if you hit them right. I haven't worked out an angle to hit AFVs or commanders at yet though.
can't remember who it was but, someone was using the scout speed meds to flip there own tank over BE walls... I literally saw it flip over my own wall I hear crash and see a tank flip over me and my wall. With no camera jump, He hit the wall then it flipped over the wall.
Thats because the NF medium tank has such a weird model. Its high tracks allow it to climb over most obsticals. That and the Camera Jump only works on LT's (more of a step than a jump.) And Jeeps. Anything bigger than that and it becomes too un-reliable due to the cameras small size and the large model of the vehicle. the tank will usualy slide off to one side.
