I like those the best. Now they just need "NF:ing." Like, dimming the shiny metal parts with paint, rust, mud and whatnot non-shiny and little tinkering here and there.
Those sketches aren't anything final, just a template to draw gear on. I thought that different bags and backpacks could be enough to distinguish between classes over distances. The grenadier is holding a very ugly-drawn RPG. The scout was likened to Solid Snake just for kicks. Can we just start drawing thumbnails and silhuettes first?
I don't care if the model is solid snake-ish. It has more impact than the boring current ones. Edit: is the physical height and size of the models up for discussion? They ARE supposed to be genetically modified right? Edit: Like this kind of (sorry I'm using paint right now)
I'd rather have a real man spy, like sam fisher, and not a crazy bi curious wapanese. Gtfo of my empires anime tards.
I think a tied bandanna would do. That way you don't have to model hair. I agree the trailing cloth is a little bit much... It really comes down to however the modeler wants to model it though. They're going to be the ones who spend the time making the damned thing. As long as they do a good -> great job, I don't even care if the guy is in a pink leotard.
I have a feeling that it was so that Source doesn't support different sized human models because the hard coded bones in source won't match up with the ones in the model and thus the model's, for example, leg bends at wrong position where it is meant to bend or was there some tention then and it could fuck up or something... At least there was a reason why non of the source mods have different sized human models.
Because making animations is hard work, and is totally pointless when there are already animations to be used.
_ _ O O ---- You guys settle on an arrmor and I'll do a proper concept for ya. It'l be a whil tho. got a lot of projects and stupid swine flu is putting me behind.
For the rifleman, this style of armour, minus the plating on the arms. The plate segments should look rusted and worn, but not so much that they look like the offer no protection. Under the armour should be a ballistic short-sleeve vest that gives it the bulk of proper anti-ballistic armour. The exposed sections of the vest would serve as storage with pocket and pouch detailing. For a helmet, something between what we have now and a WWII Allied helmet.
this would be my pick for a helmet also jessiah the armor like that would need some changes to make it look a bit more modern, since its an armor to defend against sword slashes etc etc
