Nice, but shouldn't it be like this on download client: 1. Download the 2.24 Full Install. 2. Download the 2.24d Client hotfix. 3. Then, stop Steam if running. 4. Run the Installers, and start Steam. You should see "Empires 2.24" listed in your Installed games list. Double click this to start Empires and begin playing.
We decided function over form, so, while the site was ready to go, it didn't have a new theme. We are working on it however.
I was like "OMG THE WEBSITE CHANGED WTF!". I mean the website hasn't changed at all since.... since... never. It looks a lot cleaner and easier to read than the old one but it needs more work IMO but the old website was in dire need of an overhaul.
For the record, by looks bad, I mean having it in the /drupal/ directory. I hate it when a sites root is in a sub folder (by having it redirect to /drupal/ you have essentially changed the public root) it looks so noobish to me. I was not talking about the site itself. It could use some customization, but it looks good to me.
bitchin particle effects but the bullets that pop out from the nukes base looks really strange, instead put dirt that flings up then hits the ground(and disappears slowly).
Seems way too unfinished to replace the main site imo. I mean, it could be awesome, but it's like 10% done in comparison with the other site, even if it did look like ass.
Yeah, but its way more functional and up-to-date. The current look is temporary as we get a better drupal template worked out.
Prolly should of waited for the new lay out at least. Oh well though, it's not a big deal. heres one bug i found in the FAQ "Will you be utilizing the normal mapping capabilities of the Source engine? Yes, all of our models will feature normal maps. Q: How is the commander for each team chosen? A: At the start of the mission before any action begins, players are given the option of nominating themselves for the commander position. The player with the most votes wins the role of commander"
