Hello again. I am aware that this might not have that much priority, but since all of the weapons got redone, why not the player models as well? The current ones are starting to get pretty old, and showing up their age. I'd also like if each class would have their own model to add up some variety between them (this is half-implemented on BE really) Comment on whether or not do you think this is required and also throw in your own suggestions regarding the player models Also poll: Do you also think that the player- anims need to be redone as well? (Slipping two suggestions here... :p ) I myself dislike the old HL2DM superfast- running. Discuss.
New models are on the list...and have already been implemented in some cases - check the difference between brenodi classes. I think changing the animation would require a lot of work for something that's not critical...it's just not worth it right now.
Do keep in mind that this is only an suggestion, so no need to snap my neck for not being aware of its doability. Thank you for pointing this out, altho I already mentioned the different BE- models
There are more urgent things to do or do you want 2.2 delayed because we want better models/animations
Of course it would be nice to have new player models or animations, but only if we got new talent on the team so it didn't slow down creation of the mod.
NF can't afford different uniform. The only thing that could be different should be someone can't afford a helmet. The only problem i have with the current models is how they look like Ethopians driving tanks. Just take a look at thier wrists and youll see what i mean :D

you clearly haven't looked at the BE wrists, they looked like they have been shrunk in , and they look so smal in proportion to everything else.
Player models could use a redo, however in the thought of gameplay they are fine currently. Perhaps in 5.0 they could get an overhaul but I think the overall features of Empires should be first implemented and then bring in the fine tooth comb. Just like writing a paper, you want the entire structured idea, paragraphs, and points established before you go in and find more sophisticated words to illustrate the same points.
don't get me started on the pistol melee attacks :D also, does anyone find it strange how you look down the barrel of the NF assult rifle? It looks like he is mounting it on his shoulder like an rpg
I think we should remember something here - Empires just took a hell of a long time to reimagine itself and improve everything that was currently in the old version. I think it's now the time to work on the new gameplay features like aircraft, unless something can be done relatively easily. I think it's already been stated that we don't have enough modellers or animators, so unless some community members have the skills, it's not likely things would get done.
