Weird if you dont see that.

I think the link is only gonna work for a specific date.

You using Empires Blue theme right?

EDIT: You can try clicking on the "Steam" tab and then hover your mouse back at "Forums" tab and you will see a small arrow on the right side of the tab icon, a drop menu will pop up with those same options. If that wont work, maybe you block javascript or something?

.. I wouldnt be suprised to learn that blocking gifatars did this, i once learned that i did not see the YT button on the old forums because adblock specifically for some fucking reason blocked it on its own. Its a mystery.

Its just used to determine if its a browser/addons issue or not.

Why not have pure internet explorer by hand exactly when issue like this pops up?
Thats why use more browsers. (not really use, but just have)

I use Adblock Plus with no problems, Maybe try disabling the addon?

    EDIT:
    Just disable addons then.
If its adblock, reinstall it or something.

Yep, its indeed ablock again. It just fucking figures at this point. It seems my copy has become sentient and has a beef with the forums, old or new.

Only when I allow it. xD

You tryed reinstalling? (or just unblocking)
And by the way, just to be sure, its "adblock plus" or just "adblock"? One of those was discontinued for mozilla because of some issues apparently, in April 2, 2015.
    Its 2 different addons.

i have too much history to delete. but, it seems to remember when i choose to go to https://forums.empiresmod.com/index.php rather than just typing in forums.em and letting it autofill
    eh, its a solution....kinda

but i do feel bad about missing your post

I think you could just type exactly this "http://forums.empiresmod.com/" and then in the drop down menu, delete those who point at index.php or no path, I guess you shouldnt need to delete everything else.
Not sure there though. I dont know exactly what is it using when you just type forums.em and autofill, but its something from that history.

As I said, its a problem of getting logged out when visiting the forums over http:// (unsecure).
So pretty much all of this is just a workaround. (unless thats intended by the forum system)
And the forums were http:// before this new system, so you have it all saved like that in history.
    Just to explain.

It should automatically redirect you to https even if using http

But it first logs you out. And then redirects you. All in a blink of an eye, I guess.

When will the Wiki be back up? A few people have being asking why they cant access it. There is a lot of helpful content on there for newbies.

    My guess of the issue:

    1. The xf_session cookie is marked secure which causes it not to be sent when accessing http://forums.empiresmod.com.
    2. Upon getting http://forums.empiresmod.com, the forum does not receive xf_session and assigns a new xf_session cookie in the response.
    3. The browser redirects to https://forums.empiresmod.com/index.php.
    4. Upon getting https://forums.empiresmod.com/index.php, the xf_session and xf_user cookies are no longer a correct pair because xf_session was reassigned. Thus the forum does not login the user.

The forum also has a Strict-Transport-Security header value of max-age=0; This forces the browser to not automatically request the https page. It should be set to a valid max-age value which will prevent the browser from accessing http.

I just realized that when I log out, I cant see the top bar with "log in".
The one that shows your name, inbox, alerts if Iam logged in.
    Blue theme.

I have to go into "sign up" just to log in.

Can somebody else try the same?
Just log out and see if you can still see the top bar.
