Never had this happen before

This started happening after valve decided to update or aka 'fuck up' everything.
I got my movement keys binded to my arrow keys (dont ask why) and now all the sudden if I press one of these keys I jump and move, regardless if its forward or reverse or side to side.

I also have an issue with the fact my gun is now on the left side of my screen instead of being on the right, I know thats a simple fix but I have forgot where exactly that can be changed at.

I've tried resetting the config file back to its default which failed.

Should I reinstall?

 

Well I reinstalled the game and it still occurs, my assumption is that the steam update has messed up something if you bind your movement keys to the arrow keys. And no I cannot switch to WASD keys as I have used the arrow keys for years now and the position is actually more comfortable.

If anyone can post a fix or maybe a suggestion as to what could cause this that'd be great as rebinding keys, deleting the config file, reinstalling the game and using a different keyboard all fail.

Apparently if I dont have numlock on now then it gets all screwy...god I hate steam for fucking stuff up...yet again -_-

but yea, valve is almost as bad as dice for sucky updates

 

More than likely DoD:S was updated to include use of the numlock key or something and it screwed up everything else.

They need to figure out a way to release updates that only affect the game the damn update is for and not screw up all the other mods.

 

Now valve is not as bad as EA when they patch something its screw up 10 more this

Does anybody else have this issue? 'Cause if not, it's not Valve.

I gotta admit, while it was fun at first, I'm really getting tired of people blaming Valve and Steam for everything. :p

 

Nothing comes even CLOSE to EAs "quality"

Bah ... I miss the days when EA actually published great games ...
Nowadays I would prefer MGS or SOE over EA.. and that's sad.
