    hey guys im a playtester in NEOTOKYO so i decide to post here about the release date and some info

    Neotokyo is a Multiplayer source mod
    -3 classes, 3 player models per class, 2 teams, a total of 18 player models.
    -Recon (fast, mobile, light armored)
    -Assault (medium agility, more armored than recons)
    -Support (slow moving, heavily armored, heavily armed)

    NT IS RELEASING SOMETIME ON JULY 3RD (friday EST)

    Heh, can't believe it's been about three or four years since I first heard about this mod.

    Anyways it's getting my dl if only because the music is sweet.

    I watched the trailer over a year ago, didnt keep up with it too much, but I'm glad to hear it's finally almost finished.

    i don't like the game seems like css but that soundtrack is amazing :o

    Anything with Shirow Masamune's influence, and hell if it has a Tachikoma it gets my vote.

    the player is in japan playing in usa server so what you see is lag!!!

    new info:
    Some helpful information about the release...
    - Neotokyo will be available for download at various sites and torrent.
    - Download links will be released in our irc #neotokyo on gamesurge network during our release party. Then posted here and elsewhere.
    - This first public release will contain 10 maps total ...all capture the ghost gametype.
    - We recommend max 24 player slots. (9v9 to 12v12 are best as far as gameplay and flow). 32 players is fun but a bit spammy.
    - Total size of the installer is about 900megs and unzipped is 2gigs.
    - In order to run NEOTOKYO, you need to have any game that gives you the source sdk base

    is away nothing to do with css believe me.

    css is for kids nt is for mans ^^

    in css can you cloak ? lol

    Make that "very wrong", because it's a team deathmatch with Counter-Strike-style weapons AFAIK.

    The models actually look fairly accurate, with the option to use the sights. I also saw leaning.

    Its cyberpunk Tactical game

    Models look awkward as shit when they lean and strafe.

    Let's start a pool for how long until no one is playing it. I can't stand the hype. I want it to crash and burn. I want to go back to when people played games because they were good and not because they're hyped to hell.

    Also, it doesn't even use the OrangeBox engine. You'd think in their lengthy development time they could have ported to a somewhat recent codebase.

    The truth say you.

    A lot of mods get this hyped feeling where everyone pretends that the mod is good, but in reality... it sucks and people try to force this feeling of "I like it" on themselves.

    While your comment on absence of OB engine was pretty damn ignorant, this mod really doesn't offer that much, there are lots of other mods "on the market" which are a lot better.

    It feels a bit random if you hit or not.
    Dunno its not my cup of tea, it doesnt feel fluent to me.
    Like jumping in, catch the flow and ride the wave.

    The whole neotokyo community bashes on dystopia but imo dystopia offers alot more.
