i had this idea for a map. i dont have a scanner, so i cant show you guys my drawing. Basically, it goes like this The map is a big square. There is a huge, impassable hill going 3/4 up the middle of the map, with each team starting on the same side of the map, on opposite sides of the hill. ________________ | | X = Start area | _____ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | X | | X | |_____|____|_____| up above the hill, the only open way to reach each the other base, there is alot of debris, barriers, tank traps. There are two buildabe bunkers on each side, that you can shoot out of. the bunkers are connected by an underground tunnel. there are also some craters, and a 30 rez per second rez point (or w/e is really high) in the hill itself, there is a really complex tunnel network, leading anywhere from either base, to the tunnel between the bunkers, to a confined room in the hill and on top of the hill. i started making this map, and i might continue working on it, but it will look like freakin CRAP. if anyone wants to steal this idea, go ahead, but im mostly gonna use this thread for asking questions on how to do certain things. to start off: how can you light an entire map? i dont want to make a million little lights. edit: the little diagram i made didnt work so well, so just try to picture it.
You can light the whole map using a light_environment entity. But your tunnels will still be be dark. Why don't you make a sketch in paint.

no its light blue i just stuck some rez points on there, dont have any certain amount right now, im not really working on the map, im just kinda throwing it out there.
