I accidentally set this so that normal users's posts went into moderation queue when I opened this forum to the public. That's why user's posts were getting swallowed up Ooops, sorry
Er...this might be waaay random, but I noticed there hasn't seem to be an update for svn or a test in a while. I know it's Christmas, but you do have 4 dedicated clans with quite diverse and skilled individuals not to mention the community that just won't die, if the dev team ever needed any help. The only problem really is that people won't work under certain conditions, so it'd have to be kinda open development. There's nothing really stopping you from releasing one element for the community to work on while retaining the rest though.
I has accidently the whole code. Anyway, if you're going to make Empires open source. At least release the 2.25 version somewhere first. Or is it still way too buggy and unstable to be published publicly? I would like to see more balanced tech trees again.
Because Empires is going opensource hence everything must be open? Just like in Soviet Russian!!! (Insert in soviet russian involving opensource joke here.)
In soviet russia, source opens you! Like open source is going to have any positive results for the mod. Cue 212 broken 'patches' which dont add anything and aren't stable.
Probably because nothing is going on in these forums. Might as well open them up to be a moderated suggestion forums.
its a lack of real life time. I hope that I can spend some hours every day during the xmas holidays on empires.
So you keep saying, if that were the case, it really wouldn't matter what happens to Empires. I mean, we still have a community that plays, it doesn't really matter if development takes a long time. I mean it matters, but as long as it's going, it should be ok. Most of us feel that Empires has something unique, and it's still attracting people. We don't have so much until steamworks, and it should be a real boon for us...we really shouldn't give up now
I opened the forum because I was too lazy to just add the backlog of people who requested access. I figure since there isn't much going on with development atm, might as well open it, so that when there is a test, there will be a bunch of new people
