with it being a bit of a free for all for who gets to command and since alot of people seem to get pissed off with anyone who does the job badly shouldnt there be some way of getting whoevers in the position out of it? eveyone ive played with seem to want the option obviously theres the issue of what to do with the demoted commander and i can imagine theres worse things to fix at the minute but im sure something could be worked out at some point
omg RTFM there is a kick commander option, its a console command emp_kick_commander atm and will be a radio menu option in 1.05

read the fucking manual a console command is words typed in the computery looking box that appears when you press the key underneath escape and the radio menu is what appears when you press f in game.
yeah i understand that, i just dont get any of the TWAESDSFGDFXVBDFSGF abreviations people use cos IMO (i know that one ) i dont see much point in it. anyway cheers for pointing that out, where did you find it in the first place? on here or is there a literal manual ive not seen yet...
the reason for abbreviations is to save the time it takes to type all the proper words. if you use computers a lot then you will undersatnd how typing can be a pain in the arse. the manual comes with the game and will be in the mod folder,and there is a whole other websitewhich tells you what to do.
If you have trouble figuring out something usually googling it works or you can go to this site. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_slang it has a large list of common abreviations.
Thats just Jim's feeble attempts at looking cool. Dont mind him. Even though there is emp_kick_commander it is never noticed and, to my knowledge, has never actually passed. I've heard it was also bugged and didnt work but cannot confirm this as I have no recollection of it ever being used to kick a commander--ever. Jim, technically you mean RTFW--Read The Fucking Wiki. no manual ? take a look in the empires mod folder. and didnt i include a link to the wiki ? so all in all my attempt at looking cool was pretty shit, i should take style lessons from you Talus
As of 1.04 you can access the manual from the MOTD (message of the day) that pops up after you connect to an empires server.
