like jeeps , motorbikes could rush troops around the battlefield quickly , and in style. This new speed advantage can be balanced because riders would have very little protection from bullets when riding , but it woud be so cool !!!
yeah i see no point in this until empires get to the stage where it is just trying to make like one of every type of vehical. and even then...
Motorcycles would be great. For killing yourself. They would need a significant increase over the jeeps speed to mean anything, and a significant increase over a jeeps speed is ridiculously fast, not to mention the turns... a spin out would probably take up half the map, same with a turn, and youd crash everywhere.
It need only be slighty faster than a jeep. The bike will, however, be much cheaper, and so balanced over all.
This would be great. Faster than a jeep and lighter, somewhat cheaper. Pros: The fun of riding a motorcycle at high speeds through the game. Light weight and High speed allow for some excitement as players jump and go up hills. Greater mobility than jeeps at the cost of protection. If properly implemented, could provide some real atmosphere to the mod. Leans, jumps and bumps all make the mod look more professional. If players are allowed to shoot pistols or use grenades, it could lead to some interesting hit and run tactics. Cons: Might be dangerous against riflemen and the like. Possibly difficult to code the jeep turning over with no driver while remaining upright when riding. Tilting, leaning, and all the movements that go with a motorcycle may be difficult to code. It would require time to code a new model.
iv heard that individual vehicle restrictions are planned so i dont think that would be a major problem.
I'd laugh to see about 3 n00bs try to run me over then crash into a building +Could be an efficeint cheap medium to transport people across maps (i think a bike shed should be made so you can pick up a bike when you want rather than @ V factory) - Would take a lot of coding and modeling But a bike shed where you go to for your bike (duurrr) (spelling ) would be a great way to secure the first few refineries, and would give a possible early game bike war :D A side car could be researched so you can assault properly. Also this could replace the jeep, which could be turned into a cheap anti infantry vehicle like in BF2
