Simple enough, just add a progress bar to the mine defuse like the scout sabotage bar. So we know we are defusing the mine and how long we have left. I searched but only found one thread with a lot of other stuff so I made this.
There's one reason not to - If you defuse the mine for 3 seconds and then look elsewhere and back you still only have 2s left to defuse. With a bar you generally have to be looking at the mine constantly...or is it just as easy to have the bar remember % defused already?
not a bad idea.. but not hella important... somtimes you waste alot of time thinking your diffusing but your really not another nice thing would to be able to pick up mines you dropped.. that would help ALOT
hey maybe that would make being gren more fun! :p now while you get mowed down by every class in the game you can play fetch
yeah thats what i was thinking cause somtimes you have to set off your trap and then the mine you drop has to be at a safe spot or else you will kill your self or set off other peoples traps.. it gets frustrating especially on escort or somtimes you need all the ammo you can get.. say your out of ammo but have 3 mines streched across a road so they dont trigger each other, but now the enemey has better armor so you need to put them close to each other so they actually do more then scratch the paint
i can picture picking them up requiring defuse definately. it just makes sense logically imo... if you could just pick em um anyhow then y couldn't the other team?
To add realism to the game I think every 5 min randomly a NPC civilian with his donkey should spawn and walk on a mine causing gibs.
That made me chuckle (i hope he wasn't banned for this particular comment.) Seriously though, can't believe the Defuse progress bar idea hasn't been brought up earlier. Animation is not really necessary, imho. Damian is busy enough with other stuff at the moment, no need to burden him with low-priority crap.
