The title gives it away. We start with a 3ds-max file: Do me a blimb!-1.max download, tinker around, add, remove.. RENAME and provide a link for the next person. Don't know how to avoid that different people go on from the same version, but whatever. At the end shall be something blimp-ish
yeah, just saw there's absolutely no backwards compatibility. SOLUTION is to work with import and export and just save in *.3ds http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10969502/Blimp-01.3DS
i just recognized i can indeed save in .max 2010 xP my bad http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15752870/do me a blimp/DO ME A BLIMP!.max 5 mins
maybe we should make a work order or atleast pointing out who is working on it so that not two people are working on a stage simultaniously and we cant decide which to take at the end
how did you open it if you cant open .max? and no this isnt just a cylinder although its rather simple BUT THATS THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS THREAD everyone contributes a small step of course it looks shit at start
I opened the 3ds one. I understand it's small steps, but starting at a cylinder is like starting with a blank scene.
Yeah, that's just a very first placeholder. U know I suck badly at modeling and am still a very unexperienced beginner (if not even less). I just wanna see where this can end. NEW RULES: Contributions have to be saved in *.3DS format. All 3d Studio versions and maya can import and export them and even Blender can work with them. Working on the file: 1. Make a post that you now work on the model, 2. work on the model for max. 2 hours, 4. export as 3DS-file, 3. update your post (1.) and provide a new link to the 3DS-file. here's the file from f1r3w4rr10r http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10969502/3DS_Blimb_art.3DS
