My screen goes from "retrieving server info" or whatever to "downloading (map location here)" and it just sits there and the bar doesn't move at all. The real problem is the fact that some of these maps are relatively new and are not in the index, like forest_ob or the newest update of provinggrounds. I am running 64-bit Windows 7 (which is way to bulky for my liking) on a i7 processor in an Alienware aurora with most default features. Any ideas on how to fix this? I also copied Emp straight from my XP hard drive (because I couldn't download the .exe fully for some reason and I wanted to not have to redownload the maps again)
It should download be downloading but the bar won't move. Leave it for a few minutes depending on your connection speed.
Nvm managed to fix it. Apparently heapsize has a lot to do with it because when i increased that to half my RAM it seemed to download just fine Edit: actaully no it didn't, still need help here
