The human eye gets easily tired if it constantly looks at the same color, just wanted to put that out.

i am pimping the 3d skybox with a huge old ruin city in the distance, and making the ruins appear as the acces gates to this old halfway burried city

 

I want to point out that their are more colors in the world than brownish yellow

I have a heatwave effect that centres on each player (they don't overlap...)

Perhaps it could be added?

 

hhmm? so like, players that have heat waves comming off them or heat waves around a player so everything he sees is wavy?

 

No I mean, on a hot day you see the air wavy after about 30m right?
I can do that in empires (not so much mirages.)

It's fairly subtle, and a lot harder to notice on a still image.
