On big games your FPS increases by 5 all over the map and 50 in damaged buildings, but that's not even the best bit. The best bit is that it looks incredible. Best fire I've seen in any source game, if not any game full stop. It's that good. He's making more of these wonders all the time, and they should all be implemented. I didn't realise how hideous that blue was until I had to go back to it recently and... wow, it's disgusting, it really is. A sleek black and silver fits so much better, and looks nicer. Secondly of course, it makes all the menus, those cluttered and oversized menus that take up your entire screen, transparent. No more being killed wilst changing class in a rax, or being run over when fitting out a tank in the VF. And you can just... see what's happening. Also good for the commander, you can have your building or unit menus up all the time and still get full visibility. Again, it's a bit fucked in places, some menus and parts of the hud are still blue, but I would recommend getting this. People have been demanding UI updates for years now, you have it now devs, use it.
My particle effects are being shipped with 2.25. Along with some new stuff, sab smoke and unbuilt smoke are being implemented too. That's the stuff that's confirmed, my grenades and tank weapons may or may not be put in.
