Actually the general problem is that when you start shooting rubber bullets at people the very next thing that happens is you shoot a few bystanders and then trample them under the shield wall and then beat them into a bloody pulp with your truncheon and then it gets on the news and people end up more pissed off with the police. It wouldn't actually be a problem if the police could just shoot the people doing the rioting, but somehow they never quite manage to do that.
I would have agreed on that point except for the G20 riots in Canada. Like holy shit they hadn't even agreed on anything or said one word and people were going apeshit. And then like a month later harmonized sales tax came in but no one flipped buses over that.
Do you even know WHY they started the riots complete? A guy which was a known drug dealer and criminal shoot a cop during the resist of an arrest which resulted in that the cops fired back and killed him. I can understand if people riot against the goverment if they dont like them and torch a goverment building or such things. But that is NEVER a reason to go out looting your neighbours and burn down their property.
